An update from Quake.
Happy New Year! Almost a year ago, we gave you an update from our office, a coworking space looking out onto the Charging Bull statue in Manhattan’s Financial District. A lot has happened since then. We’ve expanded our team, expanded our portfolio, and expanded our reach. Not only are we opening a Los Angeles office that recently launched applications for its first accelerator, but we’ve also moved into a brand new space down the street. You can now find us working out of WeWork FiDi at 85 Broad Street.
Complete with a beautiful communal kitchen, a wellness room, and free beer during the afternoons, WeWork is a great new home for our fast-growing startup portfolio, soon to be spread across three offices. The space is great not only for getting our work done, but also for our mascot, a teacup Yorkie named Monster, to run around.
Our neighbors have been incredibly welcoming. On our first day in the new office, one of them gifted us with sweatshirts and offered to help us move in, while several others greeted us with warm smiles and words of welcome. Even more important than the physical welcome, there was true excitement and passion in the air. The dynamism here at WeWork is almost infectious, and pushes us to do our best every day. We’re excited to contribute to the community here.
